Livestream of suburban Chicago backyard native plants and wildlife habitat. In May 2026, we began converting our backyard into a native plants, wildflowers, and wildlife habitat. We installed a waterfall that flows into a winding 40-foot stream that empties into a small pond and wetland area. We created walking trails throughout our backyard and sectioned off large parts of our lawn specifically for seeding/growing native plants and wildflowers. Bird, hummingbird, squirrel, and small critter feeders have been set up to attract local wildlife for viewing. We're happy to share the livestream so you can watch as our backyard nature project grows and fills in. Keep checking back as we have big ideas for expanding the livestream, including more cameras (e.g. panning cams, static cams, macro cams, underwater cams), weather sensors, ambiance mics, animal feeders, native plants, and additional water features!

We enjoy using our backyard! You'll likely catch us out maintaining our yard, checking on the water features, restocking the critter feeders, having morning coffee and meditating on the bridge, walking the trails, playing with our dogs, drawing/painting, or just relaxing and enjoying all the nature in our backyard mini forest stream oasis. See if you catch us saying "Hi!" to the camera.
